The Control Sections feature class was generated directly from Roadway Inventory Roads and Highway statewide routes feature class. Additional attributes were added to support the creation of the Control Section Layer. Control Sections is a work in progress and is continually being updated.
The purpose of the Control Sections is to define a generalized depiction of control section extents. This feature class includes all state, county and local Control Sections segments within the Nevada state boundary, that are managed or tracked by the Nevada Department of Transportation.
